‘Sunshine Suzie’
‘Sunshine Suzie’ is one of the older Barnhaven doubles. It is a plant I always recommend for the length of its flowering. It will usually start flowering for me in December and it is wonderful to see such a cheerful flower at that time of year. It carries on right through the Spring into early Summer. A large patch of it really lifts the spirits. Some people criticise it for the way the flowers gain a tinge of apricot as they age. It is a distinctive characteristic when identifying the plant. I think it is rather harsh to criticise such a joyful plant at all!
